Welcome to Less Phone - A Minimalist Launcher. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application.

Less Phone ("we," "us," or "our") is the data controller responsible for processing personal information collected through the Less Phone application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in our data practices.

We collect minimal data necessary to provide and improve our services:

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, device language, and screen resolution to optimize app performance.
• Usage Analytics: Anonymized data about how you interact with the app, including feature usage and app performance metrics. We use randomly generated UUIDs that cannot identify you personally.
• Crash Reports: Technical information about app crashes to help us identify and fix bugs.

We do NOT collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location data through normal app usage.

3. Data Use

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Improving app stability and performance
• Enhancing user experience through feature optimization
• Conducting analytics to understand usage patterns
• Diagnosing and fixing technical issues

Less Phone is ad-free. We do not use your data for personalized advertising or sell your information to third parties.

4. Accessibility Service API (Android)

Less Phone uses Android's Accessibility Service API to enable core features such as:

• App blocking during focus sessions
• Screen time monitoring and reminders
• Launcher functionality

This permission requires your explicit consent and is used solely to provide the app's functionality. We do not use this access to collect personal data or monitor your activities beyond what is necessary for the app's features.

5. Screen Time API (iOS)

On iOS devices, Less Phone integrates with Apple's Screen Time API to provide:

• App usage limits and time-based restrictions
• Focus mode features
• Digital wellbeing insights

This data is stored securely by Apple and processed on your device. We do not have access to your Screen Time data.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to improve our app:

• Google Firebase: For analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services.

7. Security & Data Retention

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS
• No storage of personally identifiable information (PII)
• Regular security audits and updates

Anonymized analytics data is retained for a reasonable period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, after which it is securely deleted.

• Withdraw Permissions: You can revoke app permissions at any time through your device settings.
• Data Deletion: You can request deletion of any data associated with your device by contacting us.
